The start of a new season is always the most exciting time. For some it can be their last season as a schoolboy or schoolgirl player before they move on to the big boys and girls. For others it can be the very first time they play organised football and begin a journey that has endless possibilities. For the boys and girls starting out on this journey it is almost unbearably exciting, they can't wait for the first match and the first time they pull on a Leixlip United jersey. 

This coming season we will be sending out 32 boys and 6 girls teams to play in the DDSL and the MGL. It is the most teams we have ever fielded and it is particularly gratifying to field the 6 girls teams. We could never put such a huge number of teams out to play without the support and efforts of our managers and coaches. 

This club does not exist without all our volunteers be that managing, coaching or committee and to each and every one of them we are hugely indebted. I want to wish all our players boys and girls and all our managers and coaches the very best of luck for the upcoming season. I know you will all do Leixlip Utd proud.
