Once again today a group of teenagers broke into our large all-weather astro pitch by climbing the fences.

We appreciate we are in difficult times and we are aware some need a space to exercise outdoors. As a result we have purposely left goals on the athletic pitch and the gates open to our 3 cages for small numbers to use. Despite this some teenagers continue to illegally enter our large astro. We have spoken to many of those involved and informed them, if they were not already aware, that our CCTV has captured their images climbing fences but they just don't seem to be bothered in any way by this. We have warned them we will go to the police but this does not deter them. We are aware that other organisations are having these issues also. We have had locks broken, signs vandalised and goalposts and nets damaged.

We are seriously appealing to parents and guardians of these teenagers to step up and inform their children that they need to stop trespassing and damaging our property. Going forward if we find anyone on the large astro who is a member of our club we will look to expel them from Leixlip United immediately. This lockdown has been incredibly difficult for us all but indulging in wanton vandalism is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.

Thank you for your cooperation.
