U17B Sunday Raheny 0-2 Leixlip
Really good game of football from both sides. We put in a very disciplined and high intensity performance. We should have scored in the first half but the Raheny keeper made a number of good saves. Same again in the second half and we got our opener from a poacher's finish from Rob Paoleti. We kept them to half chances and sealed the points after some great footwork from Calum Reilly in the box the ball fell to Paoleti again and he slotted home the finish, a very satisfying result.

MGL u17s Leixlip 6 - Mt. Merrion 0
Excellent win for the girls this morning, with a hat trick from Maryam Abdul, 2 for Emily Lynch and 1 for Katie Allen. Really was a great team performance all round, with a few regulars missing, we really didn't look like that.  Great clean sheet for Alison O'Connor in goals too, late on she made a superb point blank save, when we were 6 up - great to see that level of concentration. Some really well taken goals, including a well executed chip of the keeper from outside the box from Katie.

U15 Div 2. Leixlip 1 - 1 Ballyoulster
Lads were not at their best today against a strong Ballyoulster team that have beaten us every time we previously played them. Ballyoulster took a deserved early lead. Slightly better second half from us and Ben Lynch popped up with the equaliser in injury time after a free kick from Jack Kelly.

They beat us 3-1 two weeks ago, so very satisfying win. The girls worked hard and stayed on top for most of the match.
In a full squad performance captain Sophie Dalton scored for us in each half and had one disallowed in second.
We rode our luck when they had a penalty hit the post but fully deserved the win.

U13B1 Leixlip Utd 9 - Howth 2 (Photo with referee above)
They arrived with 10, we opted to field 10 but it was a mismatch from the first minute & we started pulling dominant players very early.
The only thing worthwhile was 7 lads got to score on their first game on the senior pitch.

U14B - Castleknock 5 - 4 Leixlip
Unfortunately Castlenock handed us our first defeat of the season. Like last week we found ourselves 3 nil down after 20 mins. Also like last week we rallied, went 3-1 down at the break. Before long we were level, after that the game went a bit kamikaze, chances at both ends of the pitch. Two offside goals and a worldie castleknock save in the last play meant we came out the wrong side of a 5-4 thriller.

U13P Crumlin 5 Leixlip 1.
Back to earth this week went 2 nil down after 5 mins but managed to hang in to halftime and got a worldie free kick to top corner from Patrick  Whelan just before break to go in 2-1. Second half they blitzed us and it could have been more. Lads need to shake it off as that is premier level football.

U19s Liffey Bank 2 Leixlip Utd 1.
Unfortunately the result didn't go our way today. B Team battled hard until the final whistle but couldn't find a way back to force extra time. We had some great support out at the match so thanks to all.
And also a massive thanks to Bren for being on the sideline coaching alongside me today and great to have girls from u18s in our match day squad.
