U16 Sat Div1 Sacred Heart 0-0 Leixlip.
A solid defensive performance today Away to 2nd place Sacred Heart. They had one header on target and we had 2 half chances to nick the win in 2nd half but their keeper came out to smother well. This draw leaves us 3rd in the table by 3 points with a game in hand and 3 matches left.

U13 C
Leixlip United U13 C Boys made their way into the Joe O’Leary Cup quarter finals on Saturday morning with an exhilarating win against the visitors Leicester Celtic. The boys had an early free kick on the edge of the box which was taken by Eoghan Lyons hitting the back of the net. Creating many chances for the rest of the first half, more goals were kept out by the Leicester Celtics keeper. Leicester applied pressure on goal in the last 10 minutes of the first half, but Leixlip’s defence and keeper kept them at bay.

We started the second half off strong but allowed a goal in to make it 1-1. Within 10 minutes of more strong attacking, Cameron McComish was through on the keeper and made it 2-1. The game looked finished until Leicester Celtic played an all-out attack for the last few minutes and with an attacking overload put in an equaliser just before the final whistle to make it 2-2 and take the game into extra time.
With no change in score the game was decided by penalties. After the first 5 penalties it was 4-4 and with the 6th penalty taken by Leicester Celtic, Kyle Hutton made a crucial save. Conor Jeffrey placed the ball and hit it in the back of the net to take the win.
