16 P1 Cup. Leixlip Utd 2. St. Kevin's 1.
A really tough battle against a team that is battling with us for the league title. We played against a strong wind and started well enough before Josh Flood got on the end of a great cross from Adam Rock and finished it to the net. Kevin's came back at us and got the equiliser before half time. With the wind at our backs we started strong again and went close on a few occasions to retake the lead. Kevin's continued to battle hard and we were grateful to our keeper Devon Boland for two top class saves. From the second save Devon launched a long ball into the Kevin's half and Adam Rock shrugged off the attentions of two defenders before shooting home from inside the box. We missed a couple of chances to wrap up the game but in the end we were deserving winners. A great win on a day when we were missing 3 players and our manager. Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Jamie Byrne who suffered a double fracture to his arm today.

Under 18s
Leixlip 1 v Ballymun 1
Our best performance of the season and while we were hanging on, our effort deserved a draw. We went one up from a fortunate own goal and Ballymun deserved the equaliser just before half. Second half was a bit one way traffic and we didn't have options as we had a load with injuries and covid cases. Ballymun had their keeper sent off in the last minute for dishing out some terrible abuse to the ref and they were looking for serious aggro...we didn't oblige. Ballymun had already won the league, before today they played 16 and won 16 with 11 clean sheets. They are a premier team playing in a lower league and today we turned up and gave them a serious test, proving we can play a bit ourselves.

U12C Leixlip United 3-3 lucan United
Slow start allowed Lucan to score twice in the first few minutes but we dug in. Started to win individual battles and play our own game. After several chances we got one back before the break through Aidan McConville to go in 2-1 down. Second half started much better with James Mcgee scoring after a great team move to make it all square . Soon after we got our third when Rian Fahey forced an own goal. Lucan managed to equalise against the run of play late in the game. We came close to winning it but their keeper made 2 great saves.

U16 Saturday
Glasnevin 1-2 Leixlip
Scrappy affair on a poor pitch, a game we could have (probably should have) won 6-0 but we just did not take our chances including hitting the woodwork twice. A sloppy consolation for them 5 minutes from time gave us something to think about but we saw it out. Goals from Cathal Manley and Sam Tenali.

U-19 GIVOVO CUP:
Leixlip Utd. 4-1 Park Celtic.
Excellent performance long over due from the lads. Battled hard but played some great football at times
SCORERS:
Rory Delaney, Steven Akamelu 2, and Ethan McLoughlin.

U13c   Templeogue 1 Leixlip Utd 2
Losing the toss on a windy day, Templeogue put us playing with the wind behind us for the first half which worked out well. Eoghan Lyons putting in the first goal with an unstoppable strike. Cameron McComish was fouled in the penalty box giving us a penalty taken by Eoghan who secured the 2nd goal before half time came. Playing into the wind we failed to finish many chances and made a mistake at the back leaving Templeogue's striker with a shot on goal which hit the back of the net. Playing 4 at the back we prevented any more attacks on goal and took the 3 points. 4 games left in the league and the boys have secured a promotion and now battle for first place. MotM Eoghan Lyons.

4 Inter Leixlip Utd 1. Cherry  Orchard 0.
A great performance from our under 14s to take the scalp off the Orchard. It was a very tight game from start to finish - both sides had their periods of dominance. Just when the game looked like finishing scoreless Kaylum Tynan popped up to score the winner with a poachers finish past the Orchard goalkeeper.

5P1. Leixlip Utd 1 Greystones Utd 1
A tight tense battle finished up all square. Leixlip went ahead in the first half when after a good move Dylan Barrett went around the keeper to score from a tight angle. Leixlip continued to create chances but the second goal wouldn't come and Greystones grabbed the equaliser in the second half.
