U16 MGL Cup Skerries 3 Leixlip 8

Good win for the girls today in a crazily windy pitch on a hilltop overlooking the sea. We were on top from early and scored 6 goals in the first half with the wind at our back. Second half we rotated players and it was more even - but we were comfortable throughout. Great for a few players to score who don't usually. Goals from Jae Howard (3), Emily Lynch, Ciara Stanley, Abbie Creeby, Niamh McClean and Katie Allen.

Under 18 girls, Q/F cup Rush 2 Leixlip 1

The players battled as hard as they could but fell short in the end.

16P1 Leixlip Utd 2 Home Farm 1.

Another hard earned 3 points against really tough opposition. Adam Rock put us ahead in the first half after rounding the goalkeeper and slotted the ball home. We spurned a few chances to increase our lead and just before half time Home Farm equalised with a header from a free kick. The second half was fairly even until Rock headed home the winner with less than 5 minutes left. We move on to our big SFAI Cup game against Ballyjamesduff FC next Saturday on the astro at 12pm.

Under 18s. Leixlip 2 v 0 Portmarnock.

We did not reach the heights of last week but got the job done in poor conditions. Goals from Tom Lalor and Luke Gorman.

U14-6 Dalkey 1-2 Leixlip

Trip out to the seaside this morning, but it certainly wasn't the day for it, conditions made for a tough game for both teams, 0-0 at the half with chances few and far between. We took the lead through Sean Duffin but a scramble in the box let them in for an equaliser, we dug in and a lovely solo effort from Noah Dagg sealed the 3 points.

U16 Saturday Mount Merrion 0-5 Leixlip

Nice to bounce back with a win, atrocious conditions this morning made for a tough time for both teams, we were good first half without being great and went in at halftime 2 up, we played better second half and added 3 more for a good win.

Scorers: Adam Dagg, Rob Paoleti x2, Josh Lee, Nathan O'Connell

We have two huge games this coming weekend when our under 15s take on Lakewood Athletic from Cork and our under 16s clash with Ballyjamesduff AFC. Both games are SFAI last 32 Cup ties. The under 16s will kick off at 12 and the under 15s kick off at 2pm. Both games are on our astro pitch and all support would be much appreciated by our players and management.
