U15 Major Boys Leixlip United 3 Collinstown 0.
Two wins in 4 days. First half finished 0-0 when we could’ve got at least 1 when Dany Pop won the ball from their kickout but the keeper made a great save and to be fair Collinstown went direct all first half and it troubled us but second half we dealt with that easily and we tore them apart but it was still only after 45 minutes we got our first when a low drilled free kick from Harry O’Connor was reacted quickest to by Michael Cavanagh who poked home in the 6 yard box and after that we created so many chances from both wings but especially down the left with Dany Pop who was running riot and he finally got his reward after 55 minutes when he ghosted in from the left again and drilled his shot past their keeper. Nathan Byrne added the 3rd with 8 minutes to go using his body really well in the box to spin the defender and drill a low finish to the corner, clean sheet was important and the lads delivered and stand in center back Brian Whitney who is just back from injury had a great second half. Grass pitch looks great but is very hard and tough to play on but any football that was played was by us especially second half, the lads to a man battled against a big tough physical Collinstown team and deserved the win tonight and thanks to everyone who hung around to support us it really helped the lads.

U15.1 Boys Greystones United 1 Leixlip United 2.
A very even first half between 2 teams very familiar with each other. Very few chances for either team but Greystones had the first chance from a lovely through ball for a 1 v 1 but Conor Horan was quickly out to smother the danger. Zach Fitzpatrick spotted a great run by Liam O'Hagan but his shot was blocked on the line. Nil all at halftime. Second half we were well on top and playing some great football but Greystones managed to take the lead with speculative shot which went in off both posts. The lads reacted well and didn't let up and we got the equaliser after Krystian Ivanov played in Brendan Carolan to bend it into the bottom corner. The second came soon after when Krystian Ivanov flicked a ball up to James Smith who spotted the run of Ben Kineavey to lob the goalie from the edge of the box. We should have had a 3rd when Krystian Ivanov broke through but as he shot the chasing defender clipped his leg and the ref blew for full time instead of giving a penalty. A good win on the road against a team we sometimes struggle with.

U16 Major 1 Girls Maynooth 0 Leixlip United 2.
A third win in a row today and it's great to get into that winning habit. Maynooth were the better team in the first half without there being too much goalmouth action. We asked the girls to up the levels at half time and they obliged, playing the majority of the second half in Maynooth's territory. It remained a battle however, and it took us until 65 minutes to break them down. An excellent free kick from captain Gwen Sullivan was finished calmly by Melissa Doherty for her first Leixlip Utd goal. Soon after, Daisy Healy went on a mazy run and was fouled in the box. She converted her own penalty and we saw out the game well. The work rate was very important today on a bad pitch, and that was typified by Tia Mooney and Vanessa Marrone with great efforts throughout. Well done all!

U17 Div 2 Sunday Boys Beechwood 2 Leixlip United 4.
Really good away win today against a physical Beechwood team. Leixlip scored twice early in the first half through goals from Nathan Elliott and Ben O'Reilly. Beechwood pulled one back just after half time but Oisin Tallon quickly restored Leixlip's two goal advantage. Beechwood scored a free kick mid way through the second half but Tallon got his second of the game a few minutes later to once again restore a two goal Leixlip advantage. Some excellent defending kept Beechwood at bay, with a fantastic stop from keeper Cillian Gamble, followed by a superb intervention by left back Aaron Dodd who slid in between two Beechwood strikers to prevent a certain goal. Also special mention to Gaby from the 16.4 Sunday team who put in a really good shift for us today as we were struggling for numbers.

U16 Premier Boys SFAI Cup semi final Leixlip United 0 Shelbourne 4.
Just a bridge too far for our lads today against a really good Shelbourne team. After a cagey opening Shelbourne went in front when their centre back headed powerfully into the roof of the net from a free kick delivery. We battled hard to get back into the game but it was hard to get a foothold. Shelbourne continued to press and their centre forward burst through the middle and held off a couple of defenders before poking the ball home. Another goal from a set piece followed when their defender headed home. Shortly before the end they added their fourth. A very disappointing end to a weekend where our under 14s qualified for an All Ireland final.
