On a cold and windy morning Leixlip made the perfect start to the game when Adam Adiboye's 40 yard pass was finished beautifully by Ryan Good in the first minute. Despite largely dominating we only added one more goal when Jesse Cabral sent Aaron McDonagh through for a lovely finish. Second half continued in much the same vein and Aaron McDonagh made it 3 with a great strike from the edge of the box. We continued to pile on the pressure and Fiacra Martin with two and Aaron McDonagh with his goal of the game left us comfortable winners in what could have been a tricky assignment. Happy days as we move into the last 32 of the competition. 

It was a cracking game on the senior pitch. Leixlip went in 1-0 up thanks to a Robyn McCaughey goal, her positioning meant she was there to tap in a shot from Grace Kelly that their keeper took the sting off. While we should have been up by more, we soon found ourselves 2-1 down. We didn’t deal with a corner and then a ball went in behind. It looked grim as the half went on and we couldn’t convert. Bullet header from Faye just went over the bar. A free from Cara Moriarty didn’t dip enough. Indirect free from back pass just put wide too. But by continuing to believe in themselves, the girls were able really pick Malahide apart in the final few minutes. Molly Crehan met a corner & found Grace Kelly who placed the equaliser. In no time after Isabelle Mullarkey put us ahead meeting a corner and placing her shot too. Daylight came from a free lofted in that Ailbhe Mooney glanced passed the keeper. A really happy bunch of girls rescued 3 points.

Thankfully the weather wasn't an issue for us, that was the only break we got.

Leixlip weren't at our best but still managed to be on top in the first half. Conor Walsh put a long-range effort into the top corner to put us 1-0 up after 11 minutes. We should have built on it but couldn't make the breakthrough. In the second half AGP were first to everything and 5 minutes in they scored twice in about a minute. We improved a little and hit the woodwork a couple times. We could have done with a couple of minutes injury time but it wasn't to be.
