U16 Premier Boys Leixlip United 4 Cherry Orchard 2.
A very good performance from the boys against a good team. Went one up when Dave slipped through Aaron McDonagh with a neat finish, Leixlip dominated and went 2 up when a long range Jesse Cabral strike was quickly followed but a great Jesse Cabral header from a corner. Second half started and Aaron McDonagh grabbed a super second with a half line strike catching the keeper out. Leixlip conceded a soft goal from a cross and soon after conceded a second. The lads took control from that and closed out game.

U17.2 Boys Leixlip United 1 Castleknock Celtic 0.
It was a really entertaining end to end game. Both teams created good chances but Leixlip were the stronger team. The lads defended well, Cillian Gamble made some important saves, and Sam Bacon put in a great effort leading the line up front on his own. James Gaynor got the only goal of the game half way through the second half, with a low shot from outside the box into the bottom corner. Lads closed the game out well despite sustained Castleknock pressure.

With the weather wet and windy and playing by the sea we thought it might be a leveller but we won toss and played with the wind behind us and never looked back. 2 minutes in Harry Habington fired just over but we kept the pressure on and whilst having all the territory it was only after 20 minutes we scored, brilliant feet on the right side from Nathan Byrne he slipped a ball down the right channel for Daniel Bradley who fired a low powerful cross in for Max Farnan coming in from his left wing to finish high into the net. The second goal followed on 30 minutes, another game another powerful Daniel Bradley header as he rose to head home a Michael Cavanagh corner. Second half they had the wind but it was never our 3rd goal came with a deep cross from Max Farnan finding Nathan Byrne at the edge of the box he shifted the ball and his shot was parried by the keeper to Daniels feet and he finished easily for his second. We were dominating now and our 4th goal came with Oisin Kelly winning the ball high as he had done all game at left back slipping the ball inside to Harry O’Connor 35 yards out with everyone shouting shoot he hit a cracker to the top corner. Malahide had one shot on target with 2 mins to go which our keeper was equal to. That’s 4 clean sheets in a row so special mention to the back four Finn Heffernan, Oisin Kelly, Aaron Power, Joe Cribben and Cillian O’Hagan as it’s the foundation for all our performances recently. Well done to all.
