U13 Prem Girls Leixlip United 1 Ballyoulster 0.
Hard fought win for Leixlip today. The girls made it difficult for themselves but they still seaked out a win. Energy levels seemed low at times, but Leixlip were the better footballing team. Ballyoulster simply wanted to play route 1 football today. They had some chances but nothing that really tested our keeper bar one which our keeper saved with a reflex leg to her right. Leixlip were also denied a 2nd goal from our left Winger for an apparent offside that never was. Final whistle 1 nil.

U14.3 Girls Stamullen 3 Leixlip United 4.
Travelled with just 12 Girls this morning and somehow found ourselves 3 1 down at half time. Brilliant second half from the Girls and won 3 4. Very proud of the Girls.

U14 Boys Sun 7 Leixlip United 3 Newlands 5.
We started asleep and were 2-0 down after 5 mins. Then Kealan Harpur won the ball by our corner flag and ran the length of the pitch to deliver a cross which Szymon Czekalski calmly finished to make it 2-1 with only 7 minutes gone. We knew it was going to be a long morning. Newlands were the better team for the rest of the half and went in 4-1 up at halftime. We got more into the game in the second half but conceded the 5th with 15 minutes left. The lads lifted their game and were on top, grabbing our second through Conor Walsh with 5 minutes left. Newlands were rattled and we won a free 30 yards out which Eric Savin stuck in the top corner. We would have loved to play for another 10 minutes but the ref blew up for full-time. Well done to our stand in goalie Donal Brady who played very well making some key saves. Roll on next week.

U18s Major Boys Leixlip United 4 Cherry Orchard 1.
The top 2 teams in the league faced off and it was a convincing win for the Leixlip boys. After going a goal down to the Orchard who have racked up about 40 goals in the first 6 games of a 100% record so far we feared the worst but a devastating 1st half display seen us go in 3-1 up at half time with goals from Jamie Cassells a neat finish from a great team build up the 2nd from a Noah Delaney 25 yarder to the bottom corner and a bullet from 35 yards from Tom McCormack that flew in under the crossbar. Second half we soaked a little pressure as was expected but still scored again through Conor Mcelhany to leave Leixlip top of the Major on 21pts played 8 won 7 bring on next week.

U13.1 Boys Leixlip 9 Dalkey 1.
Solid victory for the boys who were in control from the start. With both sides short of substitutes, Leixlip United took the lead early with a couple of well worked goals from Dylan Plunkett. Carl Horan then scored another very quickly to make it 3-0 by half time. The second half started similar to the first, by Leixlip United being gifted an own goal to make it 4 and Sam Cribben scoring a well-deserved fifth. Dylan Plunkett scored his 3rd and 4th to make it 7-0 before Dalkey eventually got a goal. Carl Horan grabbed another two for his hat trick to make it 9-1 just before the end. 7 points from the last 9 available has the lads playing with confidence.

U15.1 Boys Leixlip United 2 St. Francis 1.
Great win and performance against a good physical side. Tight game from the start where Leixlip had a couple of half chances in first half when catching them on the break. Brendan Carolan unlucky on a few occasions after great work rate by Dara Neville and Anil Rawat Geoghegan in midfield. We took the lead just before half time following a great run and pass by Stevie Owens into Rian Fahy who finished with a low powerful shot into bottom corner giving their keeper no chance. St. Francis came out strong and equalised 2 minutes into second half. They caught us on the break with a well worked goal pulling our lads out of position. They then nearly went ahead soon afterwards but we were saved by goal line clearance from our centre back Steve McLoughlin. With 20 minutes remaining we started to get more into game and continued to be dangerous on the break. Finally with 3 minutes remaining we got the breakthrough. Pass out from the back by Steve McLoughlin to James Hollywood Smith who then fed Brendan Carolan who finished within 18 yard box after rebound to seal the win. Lots of tired legs today at the end and again a good few of squad missing. Let’s keep the momentum going.

U16 Premier Boys St Ita's 3 Leixlip United 3.
Another goal feast against opposition who score lots of goals but conceded a few also. As per usual we conceded an early goal. but eventually settled down and Fiacra Martin chased down a lost cause and superbly stuck home the equaliser from an acute angle. More sloppy defending let Ita's in for their second and only for the woodwork and some last ditch defending Ita's would have been out of sight. Out of nothing Prince Heaven Jagha conjured up a brilliant equaliser. Second half followed the same pattern Ita's going ahead in the opening minutes. Leixlip did have some good chances to equalise and eventually with a couple of minutes left Jamie Flood slotted home after a good move. Roll on next week.
